Secure Online Access to Reports
Behind the scenes, we have been integrating our systems in order to increase operating efficiency. One of the key initiatives is our Online Reporting System that will be available this summer. This system will complement our Online Image Viewing System that has been available for the past couple of years. Soon, our referring physicians will have online access to their patient’s diagnostic images and reports in a safe and secure environment. The system can be simply accessed through the web address, assigned user name and password … very user friendly. | GRC Participates in Nationwide Study …
Recent data from the National Oncologic PET Registry (NOPR) published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO), found that clinicians changed the intended care of more than one in three cancer patients as the result of FDG-PET scan findings. GRC is one of over 1200 facilities participating in the NOPR that contributed FDG-PET scan data analyzed for the study on nearly 23,000 patients. As a NOPR participating facility, GRC collects data from local referring physicians both a pre-PET questionnaire (documenting study indication, cancer type and anticipated stage, and planned management if PET were not available) and one of several post-PET questionnaires that assess the referring physician’s planned management in light of the FDG-PET findings. read more... |
GRC Gives Back
Gurnee Radiology Centers is very devoted to giving back to the community. We are currently working with a not for profit enterprise called HeatlthReach Incorporated. HealthReach has been in our area for 15 years and is a financial and medical safety net for the residents of Lake County, Illinois. Today, HealthReach is serving over 4,500 people out of 86,000 people that are uninsured in Lake County. HealthReach operates two free clinics and a licensed pharmacy and runs strictly on a volunteer basis with physicians, medical assistants, pharmacists, grant writers, and many more. GRC has collaborated with HealthReach by providing medical imaging services to Lake County patients. |
